Great weekend at Chehalem Winery’s Celebration of the Arts. I signed tons of books and met so many neat people. I love just being out and about with readers! Weather was not too cold, not too hot, just right.
Up next: the Food and Wine Classic at the classy new 20-room Inn at Red Hills in Dundee, Oregon this weekend. I am signing Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in the restuarant area. Visitors can enjoy great flavors from the Inn’s restaurant, Farm to Fork, which will be offering up tastes of olive oils, vinegars, salts, chocolates, and fresh, yummy local ingredients. Wines by biodynamic producers and some of Oregon’s newest wineries-to-watch will be poured in the wine bar. They have a great gift shop, too. You won’t want to miss this one.
Six of us had dinner at Farm to Fork on Friday night. The food was incredibly good, service sketchy.
I’m heading out to wine country tomorrow to check out the new Allison Inn, an 84-room luxury resort located just north of Newberg. Owners Ken and Cecilia Austin stopped by Chehalem over the weekend and purchased a couple of my books. Their new venture is something Yamhill County has needed for some time.
