Emma Golden is like a lot of women of “a certain age”. She’s intelligent, feisty, insatiably curious and also imperfect. When she finds herself a witness to the aftermath of a murder, she can’t help herself. She just has to learn more. What follows is absorbing, funny and, if you’re interested in the wine industry, ultimately educational. It’s a fine first mystery from a writer with a great future.
