In The Writer's World

tmwwt-widget-sizeIt’s been a wild couple weeks behind the scenes as The Man Who Wasn’t There approaches publication.

As we speak, the e-book version has been sent to various outlets–Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and all the rest. If you use an e-reader, you will be able to get it any day now, just as soon as the gurus at these various sites get it into their systems.

Meanwhile, the print version of the book is making its way toward release date of August 25. We may not quite make that deadline. There have been a couple of production glitches, but things now are moving steadily forward, or so I am told.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 23, 7 p.m. at Annie Bloom’s Books in Portland. I will give a talk and reading, followed by a book signing. There will be refreshments, balloons, and heaven only knows what else. A grand event for sure. Meanwhile, I’ll show off the new book at a private event schedule for August 29 at a friend’s book club. This will be my first post-publication forum, and I’m very excited. If you are in a book club and would like me to do a reading and signing, please contact me.

Can’t attend the launch party? You may preorder your numbered and signed (first 100) copy of The Man Who Wasn’t There now. Simply go to the “Books” section of this website. Your copy will be mailed to you as soon as I have books in hand, and you will have it before anyone else.

And…we have a new package deal available exclusively from this web site–all three books in the Emma Golden mystery series for just $39.95 plus shipping.

Truthfully? I will be really glad when the waiting is over with and I can go out and see you all and sign books and have fun. The work of writing and getting a book into the hands of readers is long, arduous, nitpicky, and lonely. I’m ready to celebrate.

  • Judy, congratulations and continuing patience as you near the finish line! Those glitches do try our sensibilities, don’t they? I noted yesterday on Annie Bloom’s newsletter that you would be there on Sept. 23rd. My calendar is marked. And I look forward to seeing you again.

Hi Sherry, I look forward to seeing you as well. Could you please forward me a copy of your review of The Difficult Sister to my personal email address? I’m not sure I’m getting your reviews. Thanks. Judy
